Practice Billing Policy

Please be advised that Sunshine Medical Centre & Family Practice is a Private Billing Clinic, and payment is required on the day of your appointment.

Please speak with our friendly reception team prior to your appointment to discuss any billing questions.

Doctor Consultation Fees

Children under 16 years and DVA Gold Card holders are bulk billed during standard hours.

Pension Concession Card and Health Care Card holders are eligible for reduced consultation fees.

Please be aware that a surcharge applies to all after hours appointments (after 6:00pm)

All after hours including Children under 16 years, will incur a private consultation fee.

Bulk billing is not available for any patients after hours.

Treatment Room Fees

Treatment Room fees are not covered by Medicare or Concession Cards, and there is no Medicare rebate applicable. A Treatment Room fee is charged additional to the Doctors standard consultation, to cover our Treatment Room and procedure consumables.

• Removal of Lesion - $100.00

• Mirena (IUD) Removal/Insertion - $100.00

• Venesection - $100.00

• Iron Infusion - $100.00

• Removal of stitches/staples - $50.00

• Nurse Consult Fee - $50.00

  Dressings

• Small - $10.00 + Nurse Consult Fee (if not seeing a Doctor)

• Medium - $20.00 + Nurse Consult Fee (if not seeing a Doctor)

• Large - $30.00 + Nurse Consult Fee (if not seeing a Doctor)
